Juniper Networks will be pushing deeper into the market with their new platform for management and configuration. Junos Space is a unified platform that is simple yet vast in it’s reach. With the Junos Space platform, Juniper Networks has brought their philosophy of ONE to the back end. The goal for Junos Space is to consolidate as many of Juniper Networks maintenance and configuration tools into one location as possible. For the user of Juniper Products this means lower rack cost, lower training cost, more consistant experience and better support.

Why the need for something like Junos Space? First: I believe that platforms like NSM, JUNOSscope, and Advanced Insight Manager have sen their better day. As customers are getting more and more streamlined, becoming reliant on engineers that are capable of doing more and more tasks individual products or applications for each of the areas that they work are more of a hinderance that a help. Unified products like Junos Space solve this issue, as an engineer or operator needs to add on new areas of expertise they do not have to also learn a totally diferent platform to manage the new devices that serve those areas. With Junos Space all Juniper Networks devices are managed in a single, simple appliance with a single intuitive interface. This means that while the configs on a Juniper SRX may be different from a Juniper MX, the way to back them up, and deploy them are now the same.
