Today, more than ever, companies need to invest in training for their employees. Many companies mistakenly scale back on their training expenditures during lean economic times but that is the exact opposite of what they should do. Well trained employees are not only more productive due to their increased knoweledge but they are also more productive because they feel more valued by their employer and as such are more dedicated to their jobs. The benefits well outweigh the costs so consider investing in training today!
Diane Kutz, of Kutz Training and Professional Services, has been helping businesses, employees and future employees learn the skills necessary to be productive in their use of technology.
One quick example of how Diane’s training is saving a company lots of money every month: An employee was spending 8 to 10 hours a month creating customized letters to send out to groups of customers. Diane trained the employee on mailmerge and then through a consulting agreement helped the employee to setup mail merge in Word to pull the customer data from their proprietary database to generate the customized letters. The entire process now takes less than a half an hour a month, saving money for the employer allowing the employee to perform other duties with the time saved.
